Sharing your Faith

When i read this i knew i just had to share. it may be wordy but please do read it.

Today's Prayer
..."Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit," says the Lord Almighty. ~ Zechariah 4:6. Lord, empower me by Your Spirit today. I do not want to do anything out of vanity or just trying to "climb every mountain" on my own. I long to be led by Your Spirit, not by human initiative and man-inspired positive thinking. Please help me to be a positive, joyful person, full of Your Spirit, inspired by Your Word, and busy about Your work as I go through daily life. I pray that all I do will glorify You and be evidence of Your power and Your might and Your Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

Sharing Your Faith with OthersTGIF Today God Is First Volume 2, by Os Hillman08-27-2008
"I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ" (Philem 6-7).
There is a strong correlation between those who publicly share their faith with others and an increase in spiritual growth for that individual. In my own journey I've discovered that when I stop sharing my faith with non-believers I begin to see a dryness in my walk with God.
Sometimes we justify our lack of verbal witness by saying we don't have the spiritual gift of evangelism. Or we conclude that because we have an introvert personality we leave witnessing to others who we deem as more qualified. As a well-qualified introvert myself, I've often wanted to use that excuse. Then, the Holy Spirit reminds me of a few instructions Jesus said to EVERYONE:
"But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven" (Matt 10:33). "He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation" (Mark 16:15-16). There is not much confusion about what Jesus is saying in these verses. And it relates to all of us.
When we share Christ with others God allows us to gain a deeper and greater understanding of every good thing in Christ. Do you see the direct correlation between sharing your faith and your own spiritual growth? Paul says it's actually a prerequisite to spiritual growth.
One of the great ways to turn a conversation to faith is by asking someone if there is anything you can pray for them about. You will be surprised how easily this will transition you into a conversation about their faith lives.
Ask God for boldness today to offer to pray for someone.

Trapped

Stars were scattered all over the pitch black sky, with the occasional little clouds floating weightlessly across the sky. Entwining limbs of wise, old trees swayed and dipped gracefully to the rhythm. Staring intently at the layers of canopy above him, Jasper punched his fist into the soil beneath him.
“How long more?” he thought aloud in his head.
Jinnie, Pamela and Yuan were on a hike on the Misty Mountain in Brazil. The trio, being experienced trekkers, exchanged their thoughts enthusiastically.
“What a huge place!” exclaimed Jinni as he tried to peer through the thick layers of trees to get a full view of the other end of the forest.
The harsh conditions of this mountain were well portrayed in documentaries and the trio knew exactly what they were facing. Yuan took the lead, as he broke a branch from a tree nearby and started to use it to guide his directions. During the first few hours of the hike, the three of them were busy enjoying the scenery, like a child seeing a candy for the first time. The trio plodded on. Very soon, their lips were drying and their feet were aching, but they refused to stop until nightfall. The four litres of water they were each lugging were diminished. It did not help that the occasional trekkers they encountered along the way were contributing in lightening their load. As the darkness envelope them, Jinni, Pamela and Yuan pitched their tents on a spot they found most suitable. As they lay in their tents and chatted before they fell asleep, seeds of doubts had already been sowed. No one knew for sure where they were heading.
The clock ticked especially slow that particular night. Finally, Pamela broke the silence.
“Do you guys think we are lost?” she inquired.
Jinni and Yuan, who were both wide awake, sat up straight. None of them uttered a word against the backdrop of golden rays crawling out from the eastern horizon. Jinni stretched himself as he managed a smile. Just a day into their hike and they were left with a litre of water each and completely clueless about their location.
“Let’s turn back,” Jinni finally broached the subject.
Pamela and Yuan nodded in agreement. They picked up their haversacks, and headed back, trying to re-trace the path which brought them there. The sun shone brightly, threatening to burn their heads. The trio wandered about the forest, with Yuan leading the pack. After three long hours, they were still passing through trees after trees. The scenery which they were seemingly in awe of in the first place now seemed like a nightmare to them.
All of a sudden, a loud creak was heard and a huge tree started to sway. The three of them started to scramble, but unfortunately, Yuan was not as agile. He screamed in agony as blood oozed out from his right leg which was trapped by the fallen tree. Tears of pain rolled down his cheeks as he tried to bear with the intense pain. Jinni dashed towards the log and tried to lift it up with all his strength but to no avail. Trying his best to stay calm Jinni looked around for a stick to act as a lever, but could find none.
“Wait here while I seek help,” Jinni turned and ordered Pamela.
Pamela, who was in her tears, silently obliged and knelt down beside Yuan.
Jinni ran as fast as his legs could carry him. The trees seemed to indicate where he was heading--- a bottomless pit. Trees after trees appeared as Jinni tried to sprint to the last tree. The sky darkened. Jinni was still wandering around in circles. He clenched his fist and knelt down. Oblivious to his surroundings, he punched the soil beneath him.
“How long more?” he uttered.

READ

ok update. =)

The historical F1 week just past and i was involved in it by working with BMW for the event! It's the first ever night race, and also the first time it's held in SINGAPORE.
Okay, let me start off by talking about the race.

F1 for DUMMIES

-It is one of the most dangerous sports in the world at the moment

-Contary to popular beliefs, each team consists more members as compared to soccer

-The f1 car does not have a door or windows

-You can't be chauffered around in an F1 car

-Singapore has the toughest tracks

-Remember to pull out the petrol pump when you're done refuelling

-Just because it's a night race doesn't mean you need night goggles for it

-Every team needs a lollipop man

and last but not least....

-The starting line, is the finishing line.

What i observed:
Every sports has it's rules and regulations to guide you through.
For the F1, the drivers strictly adhere to the rules, if not they will be fine.
'What's $10,000 to a team who has an annual income of billions?' some may ask.
But it's more than just that. Many fail to see the danger involved.
The divers stick with the rules not because of the fine, but because they place the lives of others above themselves.
Some drivers whined that the rules are too confining, that they do not have the opportunity to showcase their talent. Others complain that the rules caused them to lose the race.
But F1 is not just about winning the race. It's about completing it, and the rules are there to ensure you complete the race.

During this eventful race in Singapore, we also witnessed the Massa incident at the pit stop(his teammates did not manage to pull out the gas pump in time). It was a costly mistake that might have just given Hamilton the title!
Massa was dejected. Massa was crestfallen. Massa was grievous.
But son, no one is perfect. Everyone makes mistake. So cheer up, look forward to the next race, and move on.
If you keep focusing on why your crew made the mistake, why that mistake caused you to lose the love to race, you will get nowhere. Worse case, if you think that you are racing because you were told to race or because you are good at racing, YOU ARE SO WRONG, because eventually you will get tired of racing. You race because you love to race, and when the going gets tough, you look back at the decision that you raced out of love.
No one can help you other than yourself (and of course God).
Cheers =)
