SWINE FLU A.K.A H1N1
Alrite i had been sick the past 3 days so i've decided to read up on SWINE FLU!
Why is it called the swine flu?
This is because the overall structure of the virus is of the type which infects pigs.
How do people catch swine flu?
Flu is generally transmitted throught the respiratory tract. droplets of infected fluid may carry flu whe people cough or sneeze. contact with pigs and eating pork are not linked to spreading swine flu. COVER YOUR MOUTH WHEN YOU SNEEZE OR COUGH!
Symptoms of swine flu: chills, fever, sore throat, muscle pains, severe headache, coughing, weakness, discomfort, diarrhea and vomiting. this is very similiar to the normal influenza. However, death will only occur to those who immune systems are too weak to fight the virus, normally seen in those very young or very old adults.
How to protect myself from swine flu?
Personal hygiene measure, such as avoid people who are coughing or sneezing. frequent hand washing. Peopl who are sick with flu symptoms should stay at home and rest.
